The Prespa festival is several years old now and is of a cultural character. It is attended by Greek celebrities as well as guests from all over Greece. These guests include members of the Greek government and others from the Greek political scene.

The festivities take place on the Island of Saint Ahil before the ruins of the [Great Basilica] built by Czar Samoil in the ninth century AD

This years attendees included the Greek Prime Minister, Mr. Simitis, and the Premier of Macedonia, Mr. Georgievski. In addition, a concert was given by the renowned Greek composer, Mikis Theodorakis.

Just prior to the start of the concert, on August 28th, members of RAINBOW distributed a statement (in regard to the letter to Prime Minister Simitis), to the general public in attendance.
