Press Release A delegation from OMO Ilinden PIRIN, the political party defending the rights of the Macedonian minority of Bulgaria, was also present at the GA. The party became a full member of EFA last year. A number of important decisions were made at the GA, including the acceptance of PSM-Entesa (the host of the GA) and the Bayern Partei. Also, two new parties were welcomed in EFA as Observer Members: Die Friesen representing the Frysian minority in Lower Saxony, Germany and the multi-national party, the Regional Slovak Party. The election programme for the 2009 European elections was also discussed and a number of resolutions were passing on the principle of self-determination, human rights and subsidiarily, Kosovo, Palestine and Tibet. EFA asked for the EU to appoint a special EU envoy for Tibet. The way China has been treating the Tibetan population is unacceptable. Finally, the details of the establishment of a European foundation "Maurits Coppieters" were announced, to which EFA-Rainbow will make a contribution. Press Office of the EFA-Rainbow
